![]() Transportation links people to community. Without it many Pennsylvanians with disabilities are not able to participate fully in community life. Some of us just need to know what transportation options exist in a given place. Others, often people living in rural areas of the state, have little or no access to affordable, accessible transportation at all. And, while numbers of people with disabilities in Pennsylvania do have access to affordable fixed route and complementary paratransit transportation services, the quality and availability of service varies, sometimes widely. And of course many of us want to travel to other cities and places not served by local transportation services. In addition, a growing group of people with disabilities and allies across the state are active advocates for increased and improved opportunities for travel – whether it is getting around locally to work, the grocery store, the bank or going to visit family and friends in other parts of the state, attending conferences or going on vacation. Other people may want to join in this advocacy. We hope you will find things here that will be useful to you and others you know. You will find information, contacts, pictures, ideas and links here in the areas of: Pennsylvania Transportation ADVOCACY:
